Remark Photographer
5B-DBY (cn 29099/2982) Last May 28th during my stopover at London Heathrow this aircraft caught my eye. Sadly, 2.5 months later, on August 14th, Helios Flight 522 with 115 passengers and six crew enroute from Larnaca, Cyprus, to Athens, crashed about 12 noon Sunday (0900 GMT), near the coastal town of Grammatikos, about 40 km (25 miles) north of Athens and near the historic town of Marathon, killing all 121 people on board. My sympathy to the passengers, crew and their families.

I am greek and i was in cyprus when i saw on the greek news that helios crashed into the mountains and everyone died.this is very weird my family travelled on this exact plane the flight before the accident, there was a 30minuate dely because of air conditioning problems and that is what caused this aircraft to crash. so a very sad moment i wish all the familys of that accident god bless and happyness to the future. almost a year now.

Unfortunately, this is the plane that crashed on the 14th of August, 5 miles away from Athens Airport, Greece. The plane has suffered - in the past - various mechanical & electronic malfunctions, according to news reporters in Greece & Cyprus.

The photo is very clear, fills the frame nicely, and is not a full side on view. Wish mine came out like this.
