It looks like this design will cause a lot more differential thrust in the event of a lost engine, not to mention that the thrust will always provide a nose down moment.

This photo is great because was taken in a perfect angle,which you can have a good idea what are the position of the engines and the winglets.the colour is also perfect.

What's the advantage with mounting them above the wings vs mounting them MD80 style?

In the 1970s there was a German plane called VFW614 with similar engine position. That aircraft was desigend to have STOL capabilitys on dusty runways. So the wings could not be located on a far back position, like on a MD80 or 727. Engines have to be near the centre of lift. To prevent them from dust they were mounted above the wing.

Interesting stuff, nice to see some design variations going on. Similar concept to the AN74, although I doubt you will see this beauty on the dirt strips of Africa.

Actualy they taught good about the engine position they also maid another prototype with other position of engines.
If i ever buy a jet this wil be it!
