Adieu! Rest in pieces. Finally this crash victim is being scrapped. The owners got a good settlement for their single aircraft and LOS will have one less abandoned wreck. Special thanks to Capt. Victor Egonu. [Nikon D200].

I didn't mean to choose 1 star! Errant click of the mouse. Should be a 5 star picture! Different and unique subject matter in a unique location, with a bit of history thrown in in the remarks section.

A very sad sight, even with engines still on. T.B.

Wow the top of the fugelage is almost completely black! How many kilograms of dirt would be on this plane? It's such a sad end. Awesome pic though.

This B-747 shows apparent signs of deterioration....The aircraft looks very rusty in this picture. Overall, a very sad ending of a great jetliner.

Very sad to see the end of a once proud jetliner.

This photo(taken in Nigeria) to me represents a country in decline.
My country used to be the giant of Africa but just as the aircraft used to fly majestically in the skies braving storms and all only to lie in ruins for all to see, so is my country on its way to (hopefully) not ruins.

Yes indeed a good picture.
But hey guys, let's be reasonable, this is only metal.
And one more remark, Aluminum doesn't rust. Thats reserved to steal or better ferrous metals exclusively.
Aluminum does oxydize though, and what can be seen on the roof of this hull is fungus, coming from the djungle next to it.
