A visitor from - posted Wed February 25, 2009:Nice photo, but why are those children walking on the runway? I sure hope they are being carefully supervised.
A visitor from New Zealand posted Fri April 21, 2006:What a unique runway. I wonder why kids are allowed on or even close to the runway. Great pic
A visitor from Philippines posted Sun March 5, 2006:Caution! children crossing!

A visitor from Spain posted Tue February 7, 2006:Good photo!! I think there's someone out there that doesn't now 'bout displaced thresholds!!
A visitor from United States posted Tue February 7, 2006:Rwy in Sucre-Bolivia is one of the most critical runways in Bolivia due to the mountain straight ahead. I personally tokk off from this runway as FE on a 727.And in a hot day with a full pay load we fly 200ft! on top to clear the hill. Requires good team effort of the crew and dispatchers. Usually te TO's are made with Packs Off. The rwy 05 threshold seats at 9527 feet. We only take off one direction. Opposite rwy is even worst. Landings are extremelly critical due to the slope change as soon as you touch down.Speed brakes, full reverse and brakes as soon as the mains touch down. Abbys at the other end. Many times, non familiar pilots, blew tires when landing Rwy 24 due to the slope beause it looks that you are running out of braking space due to the slope. Good photo!!!Congrats!!!

A visitor from United Kingdom posted Tue February 7, 2006:WOW what a runway, this picture captures alot of detail to make it feel and look very good Well done sir
A visitor from Spain posted Tue February 7, 2006:Hey! Lots of touchdown marks in the "not usable for landing" zone. He He !. Short runway, every inch is precious...
A visitor from United States posted Tue February 7, 2006:What a fantastic location for up close spotting ;-)! I can feel those 727s and 732s roaring in and out of here.
