Scraping works in progress at "La Muñoza". Upper deck and tail from EC-DNP are on the floor while EC-HVD is being scraped and EC-DIB could be the next one. The six MDs are waiting for either maintenance or scraping as well.

Thanks for this photograph Diego it reminds me the last picture I took of EC-DIB "Cervante" at SJU. It was the last flight of a IB 742 at SJU and now seeing it 3 years later being ready for scraping makes me feel so sad.

It is indeed a very nice photo, but it is always very sad to see those beauties being scraped... A sad ending for those wonderful machines!

Barbaric! Sad to see Iberia devouring all their 742s, and HVD is particular, as this one was earmarked for preservation. Such a waste... :-(

Not sad at all. Great to see how sucessfull these machines have actually been to reach the end of their long lives. Many parts are used to keep other machines operating into the future.

I would love to rescue that remaining b747, buy that plot of land in the distance, then somehow move it onto the plot of land and convert it into my house! People have done it, i hope to when I retire, Im 20 now so im counting the years!
