Remark Photographer
OY-BEI (cn F177RG-0125) This Cessna 177RG Cardinal RG crashed in heavy rain, about 1000 feet from the runway. The 60 year old pilot was killed instantly in the crash. The pilot was alone in the aircraft, and was flying from Roskilde airport (EKRK) to Odense airport (EKOD) on midsommers eve (about 1630 local). Apparently the pilot lost his bearings, when he hit a heavy rainstorm with very low visibillity, on the final base leg to the runway. The aircraft hit some trees at about 50 feet, and crashed in a nearby field.
