Little did I know that a few days after this photo the whole airline would be gone! Tucson had these planes even before Christmas 05, and 2 weeks later it was all over.

What a shame to see that much hardware in the desert like that. Probably another airline purchased by SkyWest.

How sad -
they look so forlorn, just sitting there -
like they'd rather be in the air.

This picture makes me sad. These birds should not be there. They should be in the air! Boy do I wish I had the money to put these guys back running again. :( thank you for the picture so I can keep the memories of the great airline I love.

I logged a lot of these, and their minibuses on my holiday at Orlando in 2005, and it was refreshing to see a new attractive colour scheme around.
Sad they won't be around next time I go...

Yes it is so sad that the company still ordered spare parts to the suppliers 48h00 before going bankruptcy without telling anybody of what was going on and that they won't get paid!

It was an extremely sad day for me when FlyI closed. As a former employee of Indy I'm sure I speak for all of us at FlyI in saying that we all put our hearts into that airline and she will be missed more than anyone can know. It was the best airline I'd ever worked for. We truly had fun in serving our customers and I know we'd all give anything to have had more time. Thanks for the support. She will be missed greatly.

Just goes to show that many of these regional carriers would not be able to make it if were not for the majors paying them regardless of if there were passengers on the flight or not. It's sad to see them go, however, it should be a lesson to the industry.
