U-630 (cn 79) Very rarely photographed in Indonesian service, this Buffalo was delivered by DHC to the UAE AF as 306 in 5.78 and is one of five that were traded in to IPTN as part payment for CN.235s in 1995, one other (U-631) also joining the Navy's SkwU600 at the Juanda (Surabaya) base. Was earlier reported as serial AX-5001 and AL-5001

What a rugged aircraft! It's a proven airframe, but it still looks like they forgot the horizontal stabs until the very end of the design... "Oh Crap! Just put it on to[p of the tail." :O
