 A visitor from United States posted Wed January 18, 2006:True as that is, this is not a good example. The Iraqi air force kept them in good working condition, and had intended to use them as part of their plan to repel the US invasion. But the airbases were taken out of action, and the planes severely damaged without even making it into the sky. Perhaps once we get some stability in Iraq, those in better condition can be restored or at least sent to museums. | |
