Perfoming the lowest approach I've ever seen in SXM !!! She passed barely a feet over the perimeter fence. [Nikon D300 - Nikon DX AF S-Nikkor 18-135]

A good holiday can become tragic with this kind of landing, great shot!!

C'mon and jump :)

Nice Shot! However, that approach is simply unsafe... in a C310 there is no reason not fly the approach much higher. One of these days someone is going to either get hurt or at least hit the fence.

Look at the people running. Great shot! I would love to visit that spot someday.

Wow....was he below the fence in this shot?! Would love to hear the pilot's rational for maximizing landing space :)

Nice shot. Lousy flying, but a great shot. Lousy flying because he's not leaving himself much room to react if an engine dies over the beach.

Soon there will be competition among pilots to see who can perform the lowest approach at St. Maarten!

"in a C310 there is no reason not fly the approach much higher" But in a Piper Navajo, you do it because its badass.

Uh, the piano keys are on the OTHER side of the road. This is just irresponsible. With this close a margin, a thermal, a crosswind, loss of power could be tragic. In a Navajo, there's no need to cut it this close. I see a short career for this pilot.

Wow, he is LOW! That's quite a risk he took there.

Great photo catch, but I'd fire the pilot on the spot and make sure he never flew again with that kind of recklessness. Like another commentor said, a downdraft on appoach, or slight miscalculation, and people could have been killed. There's no excuse for that kind of hotdogging.

Exactly THAT's it what makes SXM to SXM ;)

Not many pilots out there could fly with such effortless control. This is an amazing example of just how good some guys are out there.

For some, shyness might be their El Guapo, for others, a lack of education might be their El Guapo, for this guy, El Guapo is tame and boring flying that would kill him.
