Remark Photographer
MM61850 / 14 The amazing SM.82 'Canguru' ('Kangaroo') first operated in 1939 and served until retirement in 1960. The aircraft was aptly named - she was designed to carry broken fighters in her hold. Around 850 were built during the war and used extensively for transport between Germany and East Africa. Later used as a heavy bomber. Actually MM61187, this example is painted with the 'Sovereign Order of Malta' markings. These were applied to avoid the aircraft's destruction as part of the armistice treaty.
