People might confuse this with an F-16.
I do not think that Mitsubishi is very serious about making this type of fighter plane from scratch. As far as I know, the Constitution of Japan does not allow us to have anything other than self-defense forces. I think that the aircraft took its shape based upon the supply/demand curve for the above-mentioned military defense situation as well as the cost benefit. A great photo.

Very nice shot and beautiful camouflage.
This is not an F-16. It is a more advanced derivative of the Falcon designed and produced by the Japanese with the help of Locheed Martin.
