Not the usual layout for a Boeing 767, 8-abrest seating config! First trade day of Australian Airshow, also the first visit of this JASDF KC-767 to Melbourne.

This is a great shot of a fascinating subject. But this seating is standard for a 767. This has always been the 767's claim to fame..."never more than one seat from an aisle." Passengers and cabin crew LOVE the 67 for this reason. But why no overhead bins? The troops could stow the stuff in overhead bins. Looks like wasted space.

To the first replay: Haha buddy, sorry to include u in the photo :) When I took the shot I was wondering if I'm getting some of you guys in accidentally, and that become the fact! :)

Those "window" seats look terribly uncomfortable due to the curvature of the fuselage. Hope it's just an optical illusion... At any rate, this picture reminds me that maybe American Airlines isn't all that bad after all (at least, it could be worse). ;-)

Great shot. I love the lighting! To the earlier poster...2-4-2 is not common on a 767. Most airlines choose 2-3-2 because it is much less cramped. 2-4-2 is almost unbearable. The 17" pitch may be okay for fit soldiers, but wouldn't be for your average traveller.

Seems this is also a popular configuration for holiday cariers as well... To cram 8-abreast in a 767 seems almost like punishment. Almost as bad as cramming 9 across in an A-330!
