Great capture! I especially love the red glow and heat distortion from the engines.

Love the flame in the exhaust - don't get to see that often in commercial planes.

To the commentator from Canada RE: the noticing the brakes glowing, NOPE, that's a reflection off the wheel hubs and *IF* those were glowing, I doubt that T7 would make it down that runway on those tires. There are many, many reflections playing tricks on the eyes in this and many of Egawa-san's stunningly beautiful evening photographs.

Anyone care to explain the afterburner-effect? Where's the red light coming from? I've seen countless plane pix over the years and never seen anything like that, it looks so realistic!

To those asking about the red glow, that's the fuel burning and in layman's terms, think of it as a BIG kerosene heater driving a HUGE fan and what you are seeing is the flaming exhaust coming out. Because it is dark enough you are able to see it but there is also a little bit of art and science to catch this effect for us to see which Egawa-san has managed to do SO VERY WELL.

Night background, aircraft, and jet exhaust all captured in one pic and focused. Very hard to do.
