The colours in this shot actually make the picture, the blues, whites are amazing, well done!

This is an awesome photo of a really big thunderstorm. The "anvil" shape of the upper-portion is where the jet stream begins; the puffy bit in the middle is only seen in the strongest t-storms where the upward movement of air is so powerful that it thrusts into the jetstream.

That's a good-'un. If you were level in cruise then you can figure you're lookin' at a storm with about a 40,000 ft top. As a comparison, the tallest, tornado-spawning cells in the U.S. can boil up to 60,000 feet. Anything over 40,000 feet is getting strong.
