A visitor from Canada posted Sun September 30, 2007:Nice photo. About the door, it is openable from the inside and via a panel below on the outside. The reason for no external handle and window is because on the 737-200Combi the cargo usually blocks the way to the front door, so passengers often have to use the rear door. Because the built-in airstairs were only at the front, Boeing installed a fancy set on the back door, which fold up as part of the door istead of in a compartment under the door, leading to no handles/windows on the door itself. | |
