Sadly lost the rijn at tenerife.5stars for historical reason. What a waste of lives in 77.this is the downside of big jumbo aircrafts.when 2 A380 would collided there are maybe 1000 lives at stake.

This is a reminder of this old Boeing 747-206B. Sadly, this KLM Jumbo Jet was destroyed during a collision with a Pan Am B-747 on March 27, 1977 at Los Rodeos Airport, Tenerife, Canary Island, during a foggy afternoon. 583 people died in what is still the worst accident in the aviation history.

Indeed, it is pretty good shot of a doomed airplane. The photographer was very lucky to catch this KLM B-747, six months before this tragic accident with a Pan Am B-747.
