A visitor from Netherlands posted Mon July 3, 2006:We were putting the MAS2000 into the existing purser work station in 1999, together with a WBC cabin upgrade. Crew were very involved because of some ergonomic issues with this station (note foam strips about the seat..) Players left are VHS (2, 1 can backup) for the overhead programs, left 11 HI8´s for WBC. A bunch of 4 track CD players are in the right lower corner, in two drawers. I worried a lot about crew acceptance / inflight trouble shooting/solving but the pursers picked up the CBT course and additional help very pro-active & professional to my relieve, leading to a smooth introduction. A big cable harness didn´t fit at first installation on the "Mother Theresa" leading to some delays (what´s new..) In the end it was a very succesful project. It led to a significant improvement of system reliability, passenger choice & audio quality compared to the previous system, with relatively limited costs. Soon the system will be replaced by a full AVOD system like KLM A330s / 777s.
A visitor from United States posted Mon July 3, 2006:At least they can look out the window.

A visitor from United States posted Mon July 3, 2006:Seems like a cozy little nook to escape to. This is only because it has that window of course, otherwise it'd be a deathtrap:-P

A visitor from Estonia posted Mon July 3, 2006:Interesting picture. Also, an interesting effect if you you scroll up and down with the mousewheel while keeping your eyes fixed on the various control units.
A visitor from Venezuela posted Mon July 3, 2006:Shows a detail not usually available to common passengers, well focused, but i took one star because format of photo does not lend well to full page display
