Teamwork!KLM NW/DELTA always a 10 together
Pictures like this are great, I love! Because leave a little out of the standard images. Could we call it a "backstage work"? The kind of service that no one sees? 15*
I would say he just took it off, judging the way the tread looks and being that there is no replacement tire in the pic. I want that jack for my garage lol.
Cool pic. good job they are not jenson buttons mechanics...lol
Judging by the position of the mechanic, I would say he is putting on a fresh tire. I wonder what that jack is rated at...
Looks like wheel with TPIS
Just wondering.. the tire being handled by the mech... is it going on the bird or has he just taken it off? I can't tell from the profile, perhaps someone else can?
I'd like to see Jimmy Johnson's pit crew lift and mount one of those babies!
That looks dangerous | |
I love the expression on the mechanic
I work with A320 | |
Talking about pitcrew | |
Pit Stop!!!! | |
Wouldn't want to be under that thing.
No chocks,No steering bypass pin,No thread protector on the axle, using the torque wrench to loose the nut...hide this picture from Quality Assurance!!...
That has got to be a pretty solid jack!
No chocks on any of the tires...hope the parking brake is set so it doesn't roll off the jack. thats gotta be a heavy tire to manhandle!
Next Pit Stop Amsterdam..!!
Thank Goodness for the Auto Club
Ok triple 7. wait the safety car to roll out and make a pitstop. ^_^
I really like this shot, being able to see the tools the technician uses is very interesting and answers some questions for me. Thank you for the very good detail on the landing strut and composition.
You've gotta be kidding, I never knew thre's a garage jack for planes.
Wow! Just like in NASCAR competitions. T.B.
Awesome photo! Really shows the size of the 777 landing gear.
I now have an idea of how huge a B777 tire is compared to man, & the relative size of our common car instruments! (Tayms)
Awesome! Show us much more of this kind of thing. I really enjoy seeing the workings. In this case we get to see a more detailed picture of aircraft elements - at the same time we get some insight into the people and their jobs that make it happen and keep it going.
Great photo! It shows that some things during the airplane pit stops are done manually. Not an easy job! After that changing a tyre on your car seem like a piece of cake!
Regarding the last comment about mechanics/engineers- it's just a matter of terminology in the USA and Europe- in the USA a mechanic can be qualified to taxi aircraft around the airport, troubleshoot avionics/hydraulics/multiple systems- and ofcourse, change out a 777 tire!
In Europe we dont have mechanics but Technicians and Engineers , Mechanics are under qualified personnel who are just licenced to change seat covers and seat tables , 2 become a Licenced Aircraft Engineer you have to study hard and be very handy and smart during trouble shooting!
Aircrafts did not not fly without ground staff!!
"Next time Mike, don't buy Firestones."
Amazing!!, look at the guy walking away hes like "i leave you to it mate!!" haha great shot!!
Can you see the wrench laying there? That's as big as my leg!
Nice to see a pic of ground crews in action for a change!
Action, ground work! Great pic!
Great Pitstop. How many seconds?
Great shot. Too bad it doesn't show the plane full of pax getting ever more aggrevated that they haven't left yet. Been there.
Great view of the Amazing 777.....next stop "Lap 15" :)
Very impressive. I always wondered how they changed tires on aircraft...That must be a hell of a jack.
'Looks like we got a flat!' 'No problem lets just jack it right up!' Amazing to see that T7s can be jacked up too! Great job by the mechanics.
That wheel is huge!!! | |
Great view of NWA MX and the B777...nice job.
Incredible sense of action!!
You captured the action on this shot with great mastery! Just look at the size of those tires! Excellent Job!!
This Photo makes F1 pitstops look like childs play. Jeff
Fetch the nuts and bolts please! great shot
Excellent Shot! Are they really using a jack to lift that huge 777? Shows the tremendous size of the tires. Thanks for posting.
Fascinating - thanks for sharing with us:-)
Nice shot...from this angle u can see how big B777 is, beautiful bird.
Do you mind checking the oil too please?
Better than F1 races...
These front nose gear r quite big, didnt knw hw big they r at close range
Cool, the pic crew for airplanes.
Excellent! A great airline/aircraft action shot!
Great view of the GE90 engine!!
Nice, that tyre must be very heavy from the mans' expression
Look how big the wheels are compared to the men!! Not much between them.
Great shot showing that planes don't change their own tires! i also like how northwest crew members are changing a tire on a T7, even though notrhwest doesn't fly any 777's. these guys sure know what they're doing though!
Amazing picture ! plenty of action !
Great to see a photo that puts you in the action. Nice shot.
