5 stars for the shot! 0 for this special livery - still dont like it!
Fifty fifty!I like the idea but from this distance it look likes a blue snakeskin. The normal royal blue is the nr1 winner of all schemes.dont mess with it.
Beautiful aircraft, beautiful airline and beautiful idea with poor outcome.
My face is on here somewhere! I received notification from KLM that my tile was selected! I'm waiting for my confo pic of the tile I created. I was hoping it would be a little more unique, but it is still a great concept and feeling knowing that my face is traveling the globe!
The photo is great but the concept of the scheme is a big mistake because from 150 feet or further away it looks like the paint is peeling.
Great job! | |
Good pic | |
Looks pretty awesome! Good job KLM!
Having been involved in the creation of this, I can safely state that it was a requirement to make the livery appear like the standard one from larger distances. And of course we wanted the stickering from nose to tail, but due to time and safety constraints this was not possible. Please don't underestimate the complexity of this job before screaming "total fail" :)
Really great idea, but the stickers just abruptly stop before the front doors and stabilizer. Should have gone from nose to APU exhaust...
What a great idea gone horribly wrong! KLM should have perhaps looked at British Airways' Delftblue Daybreak livery for inspiration.
I had expectation of a beautiful special livery ... because the idea presented was great. But now, it looks like the plane flew through searing volcanic ash and came away with a tarnished paintwork.
A better idea was to make the plane with inverted colors. The blue had to be white then. The tail would be blue with white logo. And then they had to put all the tiles on the aircraft. In my opinion better.
It's a TRON plane! And it's De-rezzing!
I think only a close up photo would have worked. KLM should have opted for a lot less tiles and make them at least the size of a cabin door. Perhaps then they would have stood out more.
Simply awful... why did they do that? the T7 simply looks like it needs to be repainted!
The stickers make the plane unique.
For all the people who say it is done pretty poor, don't forget there are 4000 pictures on this plane and even a 777 has a limited surface area. If you look up close (and those pictures will come!), my guess is that it looks great. And don't forget this was a huge campaign by KLM to make them huge on the interwebs and social media.
Total fail. Sorry. | |
Indeed nice idea, but poorly executed. From a distance it is barely noticeable if not at all.
My face is on that plane somewhere, too. Try and find the slogan "A good landing is one you can walk away from". Glad to see it 'alive' :-)
So am i, and my quote :) | |
Nice idea, poorly executed.
Not much wrong with the photo but I thought the tile idea would have come out a bit more spectacular.
WOW! I'm on that plane! :)
