PH-CGI (cn 122) Picture taken by my father Theo Mestrum Sr. His account: The "Vincent van Gogh" takes a rest while being serviced. My only experience on board a Convair Liner was with Sabena and it wasn't a pleasant one. After takeoff from Brussels smoke entered the cabin. The pilot made his way back to the airport as fast as he could and went into a steep descent. Although I was in my seat (the first row) I could see the runway through the cockpit windows (the door to the flightdeck was open, those were the days!!).
