A visitor from United States posted Tue December 7, 2010: I completed the U.S. Navy's "shipfitter's school" at Norfolk, Va.in June, 1952. Had 72 hours to go home to Cincinnati,( 550 miles), and drive an old Ford back to Norfolk; had to take my very first ride in an airplane to do it......a beautiful old (even then) DC-3, belonging to Piedmont Airlines. ( I have loved airplanes ever since! ) Thanks for posting this beautiful old "bird"! Charley
