Absolutely exquisite shot! Not only a reminder of a simpler, more beautiful, bygone era in aviation, but a well-framed and lit photograph. You can almost smell those fields in the distance, and the anticipation in the foreground, awaiting the boarding pax, the start-up scream of the JT8Ds, and the sweet waft of burnt kerosene ... thanks for the gorgeous memories!

I second the comment from Oz. Mr Desmond has some cracking shots in his collection, especially the Cork images for 40 years ago. Beautifully composed with perfect exposure (back when the photographer had to "think" about settings!), they remind of my own similar visits to Manchester in simpler times. Hope there are more shots to come.
