Scanned from photo by my late father. This was the first of only five F.XVIIIs built, delivered in July 1932 as PH-AIO "Oehoe". It initially served in the East Indies, then went to the West Indies in 1935. It was damaged at Aruba in August 1935, brought back to the Netherlands for repairs and then returned to the West Indies as PJ-AIO "Oriol" in March 1936. In the early years of the war it briefly served as an anti-submarine patrol aircraft, then returned to passenger service until withdrawn from use in 1946 and scrapped.
