VH-HID (cn 1262) Built 1937. Delivered to USAAC on 23 Mar 39 as C-40A 38-545. Taking up the story where David Eyre left off...Regd VH-HID 16 Sep 1987. Sold to Australian Aircraft Sales Feb 89 & used by several operators including John Love at Albury Sep 98. Put in storage at Broken Hill Oct 98. Acquired by Doug Hamilton 9 Aug 07 following the passing of John Conley. Made airworthy and flown to Albury for restoration. Seen here at the Antique Aeroplane Association of Australia's National Fly-in.
