A visitor from Canada posted Tue June 13, 2006:
Had my maiden flight on LLF on june 15 1964. A year later LLF was returned to Cartierville to be stretched. The flt from Luxemburg to JFK, albeit noisy was fantastic. We had a stopover in Reikjavic and were not allowed to disembark. A hot and clumsey halt. The booze was free and I will never forget the stemless snifters the brandy and scotch was served in and that at copious amounts. The view over Labrador and Eastern Canada was breathtaking. The CL44 is an amazing machine and will never be forgotten.
