D-1103 (cn 88) Minutes after its Roll-Out ceremony in Hamburg, this replica of the famous Dornier Merkur enjoyed its first rays of sunlight. Built in Hungary and painted in original Luft Hansa colours from the 1920s by five retirees of Lufthansa Technik's painting division who spent several weeks of their time to give "Silberfuchs" (Silver Fox) its fresh look. Soon to be deassembled and shipped to Friedrichshafen where it will be one of the highlights in the new Dornier Museum opening its doors on July 24th. Great Job!
