The "A" actually stands for MTOW above 20t, without being a smart ass :D btw, awesome shot! 5*
Perfect balance on frames, beautifully exposed lifting the body of the plane stucture for viewers eyes. Handling of light balance is perfect. This is Art. /Jukka
The Reg is true to German logic: D = Deutschland, A - a/c MTOW beyond 16,999 tons, LC = Lufthansa Cargo, O = the numbering of this particular MD11. Everything here has a system, post codes, telephone codes... you name it!
Funny reg. love the detail of the engine
Amazing shot, love the light effect.
Beautiful! from the tail, the eye is draw downwards into the "aura" - magnificent!!
Thats a very interesting perspective. Like it alot
Those colours are truly amazing! Perfect.
WOW! Superb!! | |
Absolutely stunning photograph. I love the color and composition of the image. Magnificent!
One of the best photos I've ever seen on Airliners.net. Superb color and lighting. It almost looks like it was taken in a studio.
Great lighting off the tail and engine
The lighting and crispness of detail definitely make this night shot of an MD-11's tail. Really involves the senses-- I can almost smell the exhaust of the service vehicles scooting around on the ramp. The strong backlighting of the engine nacelle is offset by fill and forelighting. Somebody knew their lighting and composition fundamentals to pull this one off! This bird looks like a living thing. Very nicely done.
The MD-11 is the best plane ever!
Unusual angle, nice colours and one of my favourite airlines - well done!
Marvellous! | |
My son said: those back wings are great, this exhaust looks also good, beautiful painting, nice reflexion of the light, well, nice picture!
I can imagine seeing this in a Lufthansa Cargo advertisement! Couldnt be better...
This is art.... | |
A superb photo. I have never seen a photo like this of this aircraft as good as this one. Very well done! ***** from me!
Awesome shot. Love the contrast!
Very nice indeed!! | |
The lighting makes the effect on this picture very stunning--
The MD-11 is beautiful and there's no way the light you see is the sun.
MD-11 is the one of the most beautiful airplanes that people ever built.
The MD-11 will never be a pretty airplane, great shoot of the sun through the engine.
This shot has that great effect to it that makes it look like a promotional shot for McDonnell-Douglas, or Lufthansa. Bravo!
Thanks for your nice shot!
The man with the magic stick!! My first thought when I saw it Johan was: This will be in top of the Photographers' Choice! Nice to have beautiful pics from Landvetter (GOT / ESGG)
Amazing. Never seen this angle before.
Great shot...so crisp and sharp! :)
Amazing pic, awesome that you can atually still see th cs... 5 stars from me, this will probably make it to the top of "photographers choice" as well
Something different then we are getting used to!! Beautifull colors in the background, just a fantastic shot.
Rare to see an arty pic on a.net - very cool johan
One of those few, different, intelligent shots. Great job on the compensation!
Very Nice. | |
Great eye, great composition. I want one!!
A unique angle shot, which we don't see often: It shows the streamlines from a different perspective. Also, I don't think I've ever seen light shining through to the back of the engine, like in this shot. The lighting in general adds an aura of mystery. Good work.
