A visitor from Netherlands posted Thu October 21, 2010: Newark is (slightly) better as far as rush hours are concerned, and it's also served from other continents. NWA used to fly there from AMS with special 'transatlantic' 757's, now CO (soon to be United) is doing this.
A visitor from United States posted Thu June 10, 2010: I see that not much has changed as far as rush hour in JFK goes. I remember getting stuck in a thunderstorm las summer on the way to MSP. flight left the gate 45 minutes late, and then it took 90 minutes to reach the runway.

I think it was on 13th of june 2007 when I was on a flight from JFK to AMS. If I remember correctly your plane was 121st in the queue for RWY 4L. It took us about 3.5-4hours to get airborne :/ and of course missed my connection from AMS

A visitor from - posted Sun June 22, 2008: I remember being in a mess like that. I was on a Jet blue flight from JFK to Oakland and we were like 40th in line for takeoff, not counting all the European flights coming in. It took us like 2 hours to get to the runway!!
