D-AIGD (cn 028) Just 36 mins left of LH789 MNL-CAN-FRA. Captain apologized for “smaller” plane due tech problem with original A340-600 at FRA pm 14th. Credit to Joachim Stendel for his research; the original aircraft was D-AIHK which went to Santiago SCL instead. AIGD was commandeered at FRA after arriving from IST where it was also photographed a few hours earlier (see ID 949484). On arrival at FRA, we parked at remote stand F214 as GD was to be ferried immediately to MUC to operate LH714 to NRT. (Canon A520 1/20 f2.6)
