The sharp line is indeed the pre-programmed missed approach.
As the picture is taken from the right is look that they are lined up slightly to the left, the ILS on the MFD shows that they are spot on though. It is normal to have this illusion, same as taxing on the centerline.

Nice Photo. Airbus A340 on Final approach. One thing though, the plane looks too far left of the centerline like they were shooting for a short approach and they're trying to get centered. Nice shot from the Cockpit!
