Back in Lufthansa colours! To celebrate the anniversary of the partnership between LH and Boeing, this beauty was repainted from the Hamburg Airport c/s towards this historic paint scheme. Gotta love it! Now wears fake registration D-ABOB, but is really ex D-ABOD. Has also been painted as D-AHFG and TC-AHG (for a movie).

Sadly the aircraft wasn't painted but pasted with a plastic film. The registration in the cockpit still says D-ABOD.

The photo is good and thank you for that. 5 stars for it. However, the paintjob is ridiculous. No shiny bare metal belly and engine cowlings. The cheat line also looks somehow "wrong" and I think the blue at the tail was also brighter at these times. Sorry LH, I like you, but you should do this again.

Nice to see a 707 still preserved! But remember, there are still old ladies like that one flying around in Iran!! Unbelievable but true.

Absolutely splendid! IMHO, easily the most esthetically pleasing commercial aircraft ever produced in quantity. (The qualifier "in quantity" is there to differentiate from Concorde, which takes the overall top spot.) The c/s is classic and crisp.
Many thanks to the groups responsible for the repainting of this beautiful bird! Thanks also to Mr. Gottwald for the photo and the post!

Its gorgous. The 707 is a real stunner, and LH's make her look exceptional pretty. Great great shot.

Wonderful! I was in Hamburg from 2005-6 and saw this bird many a time just sitting there in the rather dreary old scheme. Looks absolutely beautiful in this scheme - though it could do with losing some of the white on the lower fuse!

Nice capture of this old girl however this is NOT its original colours. See image 0091489 in the database for her in her original colours back a year after her April 1960 delivery. You'll note she wears a very different scheme.

I am wondering whether this aircraft is going to be used for the above-mentioned purposes or is this going to be integrated into the LH fleet...

Stunning, like its first day! But, can it still fly?

HELL YEAH! Still one of the most beautiful aircraft ever designed with a GREAT, classic livery! Just wish they were still plying the skies daily! Nice shot!

These actually are not the original colors. If you would like to see the original colors see Photo ID: 0091489.

Looks very nice... just too bad that LH didn't put on the first livery that this bird carried, which was truly a vintage livery. This one is still very reminiscent of the current one

Hey you guys in Toulouse, this is what an elegant airplane looks like.
These are proportions you never forget.

While it's nice to see this painted up, why did they not try and get the livery to be accurate.

Thanks for this shot. Will she fly again?

Not quite sure why they didn't use the old c/s. Maybe because it's a training aircraft for Lufthansa Technik and they let some trainees do a modern paintjob practice? =)
In any case, this bird will not fly anywhere in forseeable future. If we're lucky it will end up with Lufthansa Berlin Stiftung...

Great! But did this livery ever exist? Seems like a mixture between the classic and the current one.
