Lack of IFE doesn't bother me the least bit, frankly. A book and a nap suits me just fine. I can zone out in front of the TV at home or at the hotel -- the plane can be a break from that. But to each his own, eh?

There is no point in installing IFEs, since those 744s will be soon replaced with brand new 747-800.

LH is a good airline and a legacy in commercial aviation. However, the 744's Y class are misrable. The Y class product on the new A333 and A346 are much better. I rate this photo 4/5 because it really depicts how cramped and uncomfortable a long hual flight can be. Thank you!

I love the yellow/ orange and grey colours. It's smart. However this is awful IFE for long haul flights! Why have they not updated it yet? The airbus is far better. BA has IFE int he back of all economy seats on the 744's, Lufthansa standards are slipping!

Aah... the feeling of 1990s in summer of 2009... until B744 gets IFE, they won't see me on anything else than their Airbus A330/A340s with touchscreen IFE. This is not a great way to fly.
