This is 2 of 2 in a series of photos. Here we now see the heavy Lufthansa 744 having just flown about 40 feet over my head and now aligned perfectly for Rwy 29. This rwy approach is not commonly used for any big heavy aircraft, but on this rare day the west winds were gusting in fast, fierce and stiff all day long so all aircraft were instructed to approach and land 29 instead of 22L/4R... the wake turbulence while I was taking this shot was truly incredible. What a rush! (photo not cropped)
