Check out the two spectators in the right hand foreground. Could they be wearing Coca Cola brimmed caps? Not something i'd expect to see in an out photo like this.

Whaow, lucky that Lufthansa doesn't have a 1930's retro paint on one of their plane today at least not the same paint as on the tail

Special photo of a rare sight. I find the plane quite a beautiful bird to be honest, tho not as great or elegant as the most beautiful in its class, which is of course the Constellation.

A visitor from United Arab Emirates posted Sun August 1, 2010:
Something is just surreal about this photo in that the captain, seated left, manages some lofty acrobatics to half-way climb out of his window with his hat on, and with engines running, people simultaneously disembarking by the rear steps and others standing behind the slipstream of the propellers without having their loose clothing fluttering in the wind.

A visitor from Germany posted Thu April 29, 2010:
Strange setting, with one flight crew member outside his window, people disembarking and the engines running.
But in 1938 anything was possible in Germany - sadly
