VAM-304 (cn 223M98) This helicopter has been involved in the worst-ever crash for the Macedonian Air Force. On 12 January 2008, all 11 members of the Macedonian Air Force that were coming back home after six month-long peacekeeping deployment to Bosnia and Herzegovina have lost their lives when their Mi-17 helicopter crashed south-east of Macedonian capital Skopje, minutes before landing at their home base Petrovec. RIP

A visitor from Bosnia And Herzegovina posted Tue December 23, 2008: I was very sad when I heard the awful news on this tragedy. RIP to all those fine people that lost their lives on that day. I look at this photo as a reminder to them all.
