A visitor from - posted Fri July 13, 2012: I'm not sure if you guys are saying it right as far as the angle of the nozzles as shown in the picture. I think the one guy is right that they are only in this position because they are drooping at rest. The reason they are capable of pointing in like this is to go in OPPOSITE directions to help the ailerons and stabilators to roll the aircraft. To increase roll rate. One up, one down....or whatever direction the pilot is trying to go. I doubt they would both be pointed this way in flight. Not for very long I suppose. Maybe when the pilot is trying to erase his previous stick movement. Lets leave it to the demo pilot to show us. All the better. By the way, this is the most unique shot of the SU-30 I've ever seen.
