A visitor from Ireland posted Fri February 27, 2009:
This for me is the ultimate SXM photo(I have spent a week there). The aircraft I reckon is 12 ft above the sand but not decending..hence the high AOA,he holds this to over the fence(around 5ft+)This is pure speculation the co Pilot is looking right for a visual reference re.altitude.

A visitor from United Kingdom posted Mon February 23, 2009:
That's the only perfect picture on the whole world

"Hey, five dollars says I can touch the landing gears!"

Wow, that's low.

A visitor from United States posted Wed December 3, 2008:

A visitor from Hong Kong posted Thu November 20, 2008:
Great shot but thats one very dangerous landing.

A visitor from United Kingdom posted Tue November 18, 2008:
Surely not going to be able to cross the threshold? Has to be a go-around. Great pic!

A visitor from Canada posted Sun October 12, 2008:
Too low! Beach spectators! Woop! Woop!

A visitor from United Kingdom posted Thu September 18, 2008:
I have heard about pilots needing to land quickly but this takes the biscuit!. No way on this earth would a sensible Pilot bring in his plane so low on approach, when the runway he is landing on is long enough to take a 747! Great picture

A visitor from United States posted Tue September 16, 2008:
Yikes! i wouldn't be this close if i were you

A visitor from United States posted Sun September 7, 2008:
I find it ironic that this cowboy pilot is flying an aircraft based in Texas (state flag on the tail). There is no need to come in this low. A Falcon has one of the shortest landing distance of any jet, so why risk ripping the gear off? Stupid...

A visitor from United States posted Wed September 3, 2008:
Ahh! i wouldn't fly this low if were you.

A visitor from Guatemala posted Fri July 18, 2008:
Was the FO trying to checkout the girls at the pool in the hotel... if you see closer he's lookin like TOO LOW.. TOO LOW PULL UP!

A visitor from Australia posted Thu June 19, 2008:
Lol i bet pilots do that just to scare the life out of people on the beach

A visitor from Australia posted Thu June 19, 2008:
Wow thats low it seems like that guy under the plane could just stand up and grab onto the landing gear

A visitor from United States posted Sat June 14, 2008:
The guy under the plane doesn't look phased at all.

A visitor from United Kingdom posted Thu May 8, 2008:
The photograph is super. The scary thing is seeing how far the fence away still is, and seeing how low the airfract is at that moment bound to be very close to clipping that fence. Looks like hes trying to pull up a bit

A visitor from Germany posted Fri May 2, 2008:
Very steep approaching.... great shot
i wouldn't like to be under this plane with these pilots

A visitor from Australia posted Thu May 1, 2008:

A visitor from United States posted Tue November 20, 2007:
Timing. Everything in this photo screams "Timing!"... the angle of the airplane, the height of the airplane, the shadow, and... ooops, almost forgot, the idiot on the beach sitting smack-dab in the middle of an over-water approach to a short runway! (I would capitalize "idiot", but the instructions for this comment page tell me not to use CAPS!)

A visitor from Canada posted Sun July 8, 2007:
I don't know what the guy thinks, but is very cool.

A visitor from United States posted Fri June 29, 2007:
This photo is excellent. IMHO the PF should have been a bit higher on short finals- why in the world was he so low?! Anyhow, the photo is great not only because of the location, but it captured such a high AOA and I love the timing concerning the shadow over the beachers!

A visitor from Belgium posted Sun October 22, 2006:
Crazy pilot! Great picture - 5 stars!

A visitor from United States posted Sat October 21, 2006:
I bet the person in the shadow, after being frozen in place by fear and disbelief, ran to change his pants afterwards! I don't see how this clown cleared the fence, unless he was climbing, which is another scary thought!! But that could explain his AOA.

A visitor from United States posted Sat October 21, 2006:
Someone said they can tell he's too slow... I'd bet he's on that throttle full-on at this moment till he clears that fence... ;-)

A visitor from Germany posted Sat October 21, 2006:
5 Stars, for this great shot of SXM!

A visitor from United Kingdom posted Sat October 21, 2006:

A visitor from Canada posted Sat October 21, 2006:
5 stars.... Did I dream ? The cockpit window seems to be open ? The dog probably don't know that he is the luckiest one on earth !

A visitor from United States posted Sat October 21, 2006:
Why is too low if the plane has plenty of runway ahead.

A visitor from United States posted Sat October 21, 2006:
Good photo, but it seems like at this rate they are going to clip the fence! I belive that, they did a little bit of adjusting in order to clear that fence.

A visitor from Malaysia posted Sat October 21, 2006:
Imagine if that person below jumps and raising his hands!

A visitor from United Kingdom posted Sat October 21, 2006:

A visitor from Netherlands posted Fri October 20, 2006:

A visitor from Serbia And Montenegro posted Fri October 20, 2006:
OMG! Must have been quite scary for the man under the aircraft :D Although I think it was not quite nice for the people in the cars too! Through the next year or two this might be the ''top viewed photo of all time''
A fenomenal job with the photo. I always get impresed with theese SXM approaches

A visitor from United States posted Fri October 20, 2006:
