Smoky rebirth after 24 years! A dream came true this afternoon, when the starboard engine of this 54 year old beauty started after a hard work of a small group of beautiful people.

Love the Black & White effect. Its easy to overlook the modern vehicles in the background and think this is actually a vintage photograph.

I saw her yesterday in a brand new paint , today I see her coming back to life , maybe in the future I will see her flying again. That is why this photo is special to me.

Taken in black and white?....I was back in time. This is a beautiful aircraft, of which not all Russian equipment was so beautiful back then.

Very nice pic, the B+W makes it look so authentic. Beautiful plane, soviet DC3 I'm assuming? I also just love Hungary, and I'm Canadian.

Love it! Hope to see this bird in the air some day.
Actually it's not a Soviet DC-3. Il-14 was developed in the 1950s and doesn't have much in common with Li-2 (licensed DC-3 with soviet engines). Bigger fuselage, new aerodynamics, front landing gear, much more power etc.
