I loved the Viscount, with its huge windows. Capital Airlines was the only customer in the US, but got bragging rights for flying "jet-powered" airliners before 707s entered domestic service.

This aircraft was operated as a VIP aircraft (A6-435) by RAAF 34 Squadron, from RAAF Base Fairbairn, Canberra, Australia, between 28Aug1964 and 31Mar1969.

While the subject of snow wasn't part of my memories, this aircraft type was during my childhood here in Australia, when they were operated by our domestic carriers, Ansett ANA and Trans Australia Airlines. I was always fascinated by the 'long' engines and the noise they made. Your photo is excellent, thank you.

One of my favourite aircraft. I remember it as a regular visitor to Dublin in the eighties.

Very cool to see the this great old Viscont in a scenery so beautiful. 5* ... Also reminds me when Vasp operated these planes near my house (CGH/SBSP), in the early 1970s, alternating the takeoffs and landings with the Varig Lockheed L-188C Electra. Sound unforgettable, memorable! ... seemed bombers. ;-)
