The shot frooze the experience. Feel like u r there! Graet shot!
What a great shot again!
Makes me want to throw all my photography equipment away. Amazing.
Very very closly pics i like it
This is so amazing i love it very beautiful too
Sometime in your life comes that one photo that makes the rest seem dull. beautiful colours, excellent position, and what vortices!!!! any light aircraft following--- watch out!! great pity that we can only give 5 star rating.......KeiSan,Poole,UK.
The relative size difference between the wingtip vortices and those on flaps really demonstrates how much lift is being produced with this heavy and "dirty" guy.
So this one was the heaviest
Rarely have I seen a photo of such breathtaking quality.I can only describe this photo as what it is,stunning.I never knew there were such vortices as shown it this work.Well done to all concerned!
Say hello to my desktop 5/5
I think its deadly the smoke action it just looks wicked.
Great pictures!! im gonna take it to my class tonight...great example for flight students!!
That is the most amazing condensation picture i have ever seen on this site..... shows just how low the pressure gets above the wings and what helps these giants fly.
Great picture. I never knew that one airplane could generate that much vortices! Really great!
Holy Crap! This sure is one good picture!
The most stunning pic in my life.Beatiful colour!
I always wave at you guys snapping on the side from Polderbaan, and quality pictures like these are why!
Great picture, top website .
Amazing, just amazing.
Good shoot! | |
Great shoot, you really were at the right place at the right time
I am not a photo guru but I know what I like. Brilliant shot.
Perect illustration of what following pilots should be aware of.. Terrific humidity humps on the wings casting off into wake turbulance from the flap edges- BEWARE! Also shows small wakes from wing tip fences, proves they do work.
Landing weight 229.000 kg it shows.
Very rare sight, thanks.
Gratefull!!!!!!!!!! | |
Every aspect of this photo shows an expert at work. The aircraft fills the frame and the photographer's position, angle, lens size and non-distracting background are perfect. The spectacular vortices (beyond the photographer's control)have been captured at the "right" moment.
What we learn about physics in school, this pic is absolute example of pressure/energy/temperature.Amazing shot "WELL DONE" (irfan piac)
Amazing | |
What a great shot, the colour the atmospheric conditions and a savvy photographer in the right place at the right time. Kudos
Wow, i searched a long time for such a vortice pic! ty
Amazing... My favourite airliners photos. Condensation.
Great ! congratulations Tim
This photograph demonstrates the wing and tail tip vortices and the pressure change on the top wing surface. note also the votex from the flap section.
Excellent- perhaps the greater vortices can be explained by a heavier landing weight than the other MD-11s you saw...cargo is like that!
Cool shot !!! | |
It seems to me a perfect balance of form, composition, and content. When I look at it I almost feel like I'm there! Really!
Perfect place at the right time, 15 years working around planes very nice.
The clarity and color of the sky, absence of clouds, and intense vapor coming off the surfaces make this shot very special!
A good photo of the MD11. It is a ghostly shot with the red skies and clouds of condensation from the rear. I wonder what the passengers thought
I love the votexes, and i just love the fact that its an MD-11
Tim, this is worth 6 stars for me!!!
Super!!! | |
Just amazing!!!! | |
How do you do that ? really cool
Looks like the plane is vanishing slowly, very good photo.
Amazing condensation on a beautiful machine. love the MD11
This picture not only is beautiful for its colour-distribution and its balance, it gives in a single shot all the explanation of what makes an airplane fly. if you tell somebody that where air is less dense its temperature goes down, one can actually see the lift/condesation that pulls the plane upward and how the fuselage does not contribute to this fenomenon on which a hole industry feeds. best regards, thomas-michael
Tim is Top! Always enjoy his shots! Keep 'm coming!
Tim that is absolutely stunning. Doe so voort
Great photo! The composition, light and speed are very well balanced. Good job fellow!
This is very unusual with much more vortices than normal well captured
The background lighting, and interesting vortices
The details of this beauty, plus the vortices are excelent, making this picture one of a kind. keep up the good work.
Lucky (photo) day . one in 1.000.000
Sometimes nature produces the best effects. The color of the background sky is great too.
Excellent photo. Provides a good lesson on vortices, air density. and condensation.
Suuuuuuuperb shot | |
Great Camera work, perfect positioning... excellent shot - very unique and cool!
Without a doubt 5 stars. Excellent shot! Truly amazing
A-M-A-Z-I-N-G ive never seen anything like that
A perfect example of melding technology and art. Great picture.
Aerodynamics tranquility-
Fantastic! | |
WOW!!!! | |
A bettee example of vorticies and wing ectoplasm is hard to find
Superb image - well done.
Great atmospheric shot!!!
Very good shot...looks as if it brought the clouds down with it for this landing.
Good advertisement for wake turb. avoidance Well done.
Absolutely the best I've seen !! Nice photograph.
I have been flying for 55 years and have never seen condensation and vortices like this before
I love the small vortices coming off the winglets - they look so delicate compared to the monster condensation everywhere else.
A Beauty! | |
Nice.... | |
This has got to be one of the best pics on A.net. Well done Tim, the patience was worth it!
Revelation!!!! | |
That looks so beutiful! Pictures like these remind me why I love aviation! Five stars!
Amazing! (gp) | |
Superb. | |
Incrediable | |
I have never seen anything like this before. Outstanding shot!
Hard to get such conditions, great photo
That is one AMAZING photo there, great job!!
Incredible effect / lighting!
I'm not easily impressed but this image is absolutely awesome. Congrats on capturing what could be a once in a lifetime shot for many photogs. Don
Excellent shot. Superb camera work.
Wow... a true study in art. Tim, you got it.
Lovely shot!! --Nate | |
This is what it is about, just perfect!
That's a lot of condensation. Good job, I like the color contrast between the condensation, the plane, and the sky.
What a fantastic capture
Erie... we just don't get those kind of conditions in the tropic. Great back ground lighting as well. Well Done!!!
Absolutely beautiful. congratulations on this amazing shot! condensation never ceases to amaze me!
OMG! What a great picture! Very nice job!
WOW..amazing. No doubt 5 stars.
Nice job with the condensation and tip vortices.
Absolutely stunning!!!!
Absolutely incredible. Very well captured, 5 stars.
Fab!! Now you can see why you don't want to get too close behind these things in your 172s...
What a great shot! | |
OMG! What a stunning view! rgds Robin
