Great picture! The Vehicle A1, better known as Airport One belongs to the Airport Operations Manager who has shift at that time. Probably doing an inspection route.

How massive can a MD-11 be? 5 stars, no doubt!!!

A visitor from Germany posted Mon October 15, 2007:
Good explanation for some phenomena:
- How big planes (MD11s) are
- Why MD11 might be the best a/c for a jumpseat ride
- Why I love MD11 cockpits
- Why people like You and me hang out on A.net every day.
5 STARS.

It just shows the size of something we see in the sky's everyday and really don't understand how large some aircraft are and how such a large piece of equipment like this can fly!

A visitor from Netherlands posted Mon November 13, 2006:
Good picture, nice compo, creates the impression that the MD-11 is a huge aircraft.

The explorer is trupmed by the beast

A visitor from Netherlands posted Sat July 1, 2006:
Whithout the airportvehicle it would have been just a photo of a Martinair cargoplane, with it it shows how big these aircraft are.
Sharpeness and light in the photo are excellent.
Composition is great.
One of the best pictures i have seen.
Thanks and keep up the good work.

Greetings Hessel

Wow. I like how this shows how even an MD-11 dwarfs a road vehicle.

Limbo, how low can you go....!
Great shot, relly tells how big the Md-11 is

A visitor from Canada posted Sat July 1, 2006:
The "Cab Forward" design (in Chrysler speak) shows on this picture more than in most other ones how far back the nose gear is. I love the fact that he hot the MD and the car in the shot and the sign in Dutch.
Job well done.

That cockpit must be a nice place to work

A visitor from Argentina posted Sat July 1, 2006:
What I really ment by writing size-reference was that the Aircraft looks a whole lot bigger than It actually is! If I wouldn't have known better I would easily have guessed that It's bigger then the new Airbus...LOL!

A visitor from Argentina posted Sat July 1, 2006:
...this is one heavy mother! Really cool pic with the 4x4 infront as a size referece!
