Remark Photographer
G-AJWB (cn 6699) Designed as a spotter plane for the British Army, Miles built seventy-one Messengers, and all post-war examples, including this one from 1946, were built in its Northern Ireland factory at Newtownards. This one is owned by Peter Bishop, ironically from Woodley near Reading, site of the main Miles factory. It has recently been completely restored following an accident. The three-seat Messenger is powered by a 138hp Blackburn Cirrus inverted in-line four. (400D, Sigma 80-400 & fluid-head tripod)
