A visitor from - posted Tue January 19, 2010:It's called main rotor blades tracking. The tip of each blade is painted in a different color. Then they start the engine and the rotor. The tip of the stick is wrapped in paper. The guy slowly and carefully moves the stick towards the rotor so that the blades touch the paper. If the blades are in track, the lines of paint from each blade will be on the same level on the stick. It is extremely dangerous but it's the only way it is done in Russia. | |
