A Mount Cook Airlines (MCA) HS-748, appropriately registered VH-MCA, at Queenstown Airport in 1976, with the 'Remarkables Range' as a spectacular backdrop. I had flown to Queenstown in this aircraft from Christchurch, via Mount Cook, to take a one week skiing package at Coronet Peak. On 29June1980, I did a 0.3 hour scenic flight over the Remarkables in Hiller UH-12E ZK-HCD. The trip was my 33rd Birthday present from my wife.

I like the way the photo is framed, with wingtips included; and the contrast between the dramatic background and (mundane, everyday) aircraft loading.
