Wow - amazing capture of a stripped-down 747 to its bare minimum in order to take the load up top. Are the orange struts bracing for its rooftop hitch-hiker?

To the person who asked, the orange struts are fiberglass air conditioning ducting. That's all. The amazing additional structure for the space shuttle are the green primer frames that protrude further into the cabin than the others. Those aren't in regular 747s. Also, the space above the ceiling is usually clear except for the ducting. All that green structure you see is a modification for the space shuttle mounts. Totally fascinating. This is a rare photo. It's the first time I've seen it in the 30 years this aircraft has been flying like this. Amazing. I thought there would be more structure...like large cross mounted tubular struts going from floor to ceiling.
