Incredible, how coloration of the smoke turns from bright white thru yellow and orange to gray. And mirror image reflected on the wing is impressive. Wonder how loud was the launch from up there!

Saw this live as well... flying a C-5B into Navy JAX when this launch occurred. Sunset on my right wing, full moon on my left, and the amazing colors in the trail caused by the sunset... and then breaking into the full sunlight. Once in a lifetime view. Thanks for the pic !

A magnificent combination of the trail, the moon and the reflection. A superb example of "being in the right place at the right time". Thanks for posting it on this wonderful site.

Only ~80 years after the Wright Brother's first flight, we make an airplane that flies about 583 times faster than that first airplane, about 21,120 times higher, about 72,000 times longer, carrying 7 times the amount of people, and 7,472 times the weight. A truly remarkable vehicle.
