STS-107 was launched at 10:39 am, so no, this is not Columbia's last launch.

A visitor from United Kingdom posted Mon September 7, 2009:
Guys, this isn't STS-107 - it launched in 2003, this photo is dated as 2002. Unless somebody got the date wrong! Wonderful photo though, truly breathtaking!

Just perfect !!! Love the light

If the date is correct this WAS STS-109, Columbia's penultimate mission, to service the Hubble Space Telescope.
Fnatastic framing on this shot.

Such a beutiful shot, but so sad...just FYI though, the mission was STS-107.

That is way beter than seeing a sunrise a saterday morning.

Its sad. You wish you could tell them all that they will never make it back.

This photo is the visual epitome of how beautiful a night launch can be. Having lived less than ten miles from the launch sites, I have seen a good number of launches, and the night ones were the most spectacular. This also photo captures the beauty that has been lost due to complacency.
