"Discovery" departs Launch Compex 39A at 1943H EDT on STS-119 to the International Space Station. It delivered and assembled the fourth starboard Integrated Truss Segment (S6), and the fourth set of solar arrays and batteries to the station. Misssion duration was 12 days, 19 hours, 29 minutes, 33 seconds. Here is the first few seconds as she clears the lightning rod and starts her acceleration to reach escape velocity. Fantastic capture. the clarity of the orbiters engines is amazing. I for one applaud the use of the watermark. It has a purpose. Nice job Suresh! /towerjoe

January 2013 and it's the first time I see this photo. I love the blue cones of fire from the main engines. Great picture!
