Aircraft Taken at More: NASA More: Rockwell Space Shuttle More: Off-Airport - Kennedy Space Center More: USA - Florida, March 15, 2009 Remark Photographer OV-103 (cn OV-103) "Discovery" departs Launch Compex 39A at 1943H EDT on STS-119 to the International Space Station. It delivered and assembled the fourth starboard Integrated Truss Segment (S6), and the fourth set of solar arrays and batteries to the station. Misssion duration was 12 days, 19 hours, 29 minutes, 33 seconds. Here is the first few seconds as she clears the lightning rod and starts her acceleration to reach escape velocity.
